Grim/e Response To Liverpool Care Pathway - State Sponsored Euthanasia

Hi, hope you've had a great week! I've already broken my own rule - about only blogging once a week, you will notice that I posted another blog entry a few days ago on Thursday (10th January)...

I must confess that I got caught up in the outrage towards the Liverpool Care Pathway, which in short is a legalised means of withdrawing humane care to end a suffering patients life as opposed to humane care to alleviate the suffering that a patient may experience towards the end of their life, there is a difference.

I read a story on the Independent website, which unfortunately though  believably suggests that the NHS is using the LCP as a means to empty beds, irrespective of a patients specific care plan, furthermore the NHS actually receives financial incentives when using the LCP to end a patients life, the article and all it's comments are well worth reading, here's the link -

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/health-and-families/health-news/liverpool-care-pathway-a-way-of-death-worth-fighting-for-8443348.html

The news article about the Liverpool Care Pathway so incensed me, that I posted a comment on the site which reads So the cure has become the curse - and the moral to the Liverpool Care Pathway is do not trust the NHS. Doctor Harold Shipman would love this - The NHS has seemingly gone awry with Shipman clones...

In response to my comment Jemima Khant wrote Shipman used LESS MORPHINE to kill his patients than is permitted on the LCP by the way...and the bullshine about it being 'reversible' - ha! Shipman got caught out because Mrs Renate Overton went into a coma afteronly 20 mg of morphine...she survived 14 months in an irreversible coma....these morons have even been challenged to go on it for a week on a tv show to prove its reversible...no takers, surprisingly!

You don't even have to read between the lines of the said Independent article, to come to the overwhelmingly disturbing conclusion that the NHS is becoming a covert killing machine of the most medically vulnerable people in hospital - the life threateningly sick who may or may not be dying...

Further on in the comments section another commenter by the name of Ben Makin wrote - No. Not all doctors. Not by a long shot. You might like to know about the National Health Action Party - doctors other healthcare workers and patients who are opposed to privatisation and "reforms

This is the first time I have seen a reference to the National Health Action Party on a comments section (there's bound to be many more) so in proud support of the NHAP, I decided to copy and paste a grime I have written elsewhere on this site, on Thursday the 10ths blog entry, so there would be a better link to it. Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised that the grime which needed moderation approval, was allowed on the comments section of the said article...

Reading some of the comments on the said news story, upset me deeply, people have witnessed foods and liquids and even medication being withdrawn so the patients life (someones mother, father, gran etc) is ended more quickly, this is beyond harsh and ill treatment, it's verging on murderous...

Dear, dear Reader, Please, please spread this National Health Action Party grime around the web, if you agree that in it's hey day, the NHS was a bastion of all that is virtuous and good about democracy, please spread this grime around the web if you believe the NHS is worth saving and can be saved, please spread this grime around the web if you are vehemently opposed to the NHS acting in diametric opposition to it's founding principles - as well as the hypocratic oath,  please spread this grime around the web if you would not trust the NHS in it's present state, with your nearest and dearest loved ones if their health wa/is in dire straits...

'til I write and You read again...x
