Blandford Forum & The Bygone Flood(s)

   These 4 photos on the slideshow below

were snapped yesterday by TBB 
and are photos of the original photographs taken in 1979
which the Blandford Forum Town Museum   
publicly displayed at The Blandford Community Showcase 

                                                                                                 

In 1966 and 1974 the town of Blandford Forum was flooded 

  and again in May and December 1979 
Blandford suffered serous flooding

so the flood defense barrier was built

                  however it did not stop the 2000 flood
 reaching West Street...
