The Coffee Cakeaway

I was taking a stroll through Tabernacle Walk in Blandford a few Saturdays ago, when I noticed a new cute little shop and just as I was about to pass the shop by, a smiling lady appeared from said shop and started setting up shop outside (putting a menu blackboard up outside), it crossed my mind that as I didn't really have any blog ideas for the next few weeks that it might be a good idea to feature The Coffee Cakeaway on The Blandford Buzz...

Nikki who owns and runs The Coffee Cakeaway gave me her blessings to feature her small business on TBB So the following Saturday (24th of August) I went back there with a camera and paper and pen in tow...

As you can see (on the above photo) there are many different hot drinks to choose from @ The Coffeee Cakeaway, these are Americano, Cappuccino, Latte, Mosha, Espresso, Tea, Herbal Tea and Hot chocolate...

Though The Coffeee Cakeaway opened on the 20th of July this year, Nikki actually started her bakery business a year ago and she really is doing very well already and has an established customer base, that includes visiting businesses in the area local to Blandford Forum with her homemade cakes...

These cakes look simply divine or rather they look exquisitely deliciously scrumptious, hungry yet? 

Bakewell cakes are always yummy particularly the homemade varieties, the mass produced ones are usually too sickly sweet for my liking...

Blondies (which have white chocolate and nuts in them) are among the delights that Nikki bakes for The Coffeee Cakeaway...

Another tantalizing treat to tickle the taste buds, I actually ate this and it was yummy...

Pictured above is a gateaux which Nikki has made to order, she also bakes elaborate gateaux's, whatever gateaux the customer wants Nikki will bake...

More filling bakes and cakes for the eating @ The Coffeee Cakeaway are sugar free savory muffins, containing strong cheddar cheese, chorizo, sun dried tomato and caramelised onion (sounds very moorish and I will definately have to buy one) gluten free muffins (containing no wheat, no flour and no gluten), gluten free shortcake, gluten free carrot loaf and gluten free chocolate pie, gluten free chocolate, lemon and orange flavoured polenta's etc...

Nikki who likes to bake wholesome chunky rustic food sources the ingredients for her cakes and bakes as locally as possible...

Customers @ The Coffee Cakeaway who have a K9 friend receive a free bag of doggy biccys...

There are also a couple of wooden outdoor seats and tables @ The Coffeee Cakeaway in an attractive decking area at the rear of the bakery, where you can chillax...
