Blandford Yuletide Festival Highlights - Part 3

 Stand To Attention

Despite the cold
this years Blandford Yuletide Festival was very, very busy

This pic of Shaftesbury Town Band is a bit of a blur

 After a while these accidental
blurry photos egin to look quite
cool, done on purpose and artistically pretentious!

 I lurv this photo
it's amazing what a picture can look
like when your taking more notice of the
camera settings than the actual scenes you are capturing

The drum rolls on pa rum pa pum pum a man and his drum...

 The crowds are moving in,
getting ready for a Christmas song or two

Blandford Market Place filling up with many a person

Nice pic, nice pic, bit o greenery n human life as well

 O Come All Ye Faithful

Disclaimer The Blandford Buzz always tries to seek permission before taking any photograph, though at a busy event you will probably appreciate that this is not always possible, however if for any reason, you do not wish your image or that of someone else to be featured on this blog post article, please contact The Blandford Buzz by email  blandfordbuzz@gmail.com

Blandford Yuletide Festival 2012 - More Highlights - Part 2

A street seller doing his bit to add to a festival feel to the event

Queuing for some winter warming grub...

This geza's far too good a singer to be performing covers

Despite the street lighting etc this photo's quite dark
but hopefully you can see just how busy
 the Blandford Yuletide Festival was

These two market sellers from Italy,
selling yummy Italian food at the Yuletide Fes

The camera used to take this photo really was playing up,
that or the wrong settings were used, sorry!

On the twelf o the twelf o the twelf
 People came from miles around
 to ye ole Blandford Town

Folks and families making their way
 to Blandford Market Place
to join in with the carol singing at the fes

A street seller braves the winter cold

 Another hazy photo
The Blandford Buzz does solemnly swear
to buy a camera in the January sales
(as long as said camera is under a hundred quid)
that can cope with night time and bright lights

 Coming soon -
More low quality photos and video footage
of the Blandford Yuletide Festival 2012 !

The Highlights Of Blandford Yuletide Festival 2012 - Part 1

Wow, it took an age and a half to put all the photos of yesterdays Blansdford Yuletide Festival on my computer hard-drive, let alone uploading all the film footage on YouTube but I'm sure you'l agree that it's worth all the effort.

Talking about effort, Tim Storey - who one could say is the fourth top guy at Blandford Parish Church, cos obviously the BIG I AM THAT I AM is number one commando and then a dude called Yeshua aka Jesus Christ is the second in line and thirdly lets not forget the Holy Spirit - well between the four of them, along with Tims crew, aka the Blandford Yuletide Festival Committee, managed to put on an amazin evenin-into-the-night-time event and a spectacular festive firework grand finale...

SO THANKS GOD AND GSUS AND THE HOLY SPIRIT AND REVEREND TIM STOREY AND THE BYF Committee for giving Blandford an night to remember...

The band just before they set off for the parade

 And again...

We four cops are orient not, la la la la la la la la

By an act of serendipity this photo looks so absurd it's funny!

Apologies, the digital camera used for these pics
 doesn't like night time...

 Another ridiculous shot

This pic's a good un though and
these pirates are always game for the camera

These good natured four young guys
strike fun poses for the camera, cheers fellas!

Another bizarre photo of the parade
continuing along East Street

Apologies for the quality of this footage
but it was fun keepin up wiv da crowd...

There's alot more pics and vids to come
 of Blandford Yuletide Festival
over the next couple of days...

Fall Britannia

 Grey Britain

The economic outlook in the UK is looking decidedly bleak, gloomy and overcast...

In  England  the triple dipping stratocumulus castellanus clouds, which envelop the skies of economic oblivion, lessening economic output and reduced national beer intake, are as dire and slate grey as the paving stones in the above photograph of Blandford Forum's town centre pavement, upon which, on Freydays is visited by a job club street hoarding.

In  Northern Ireland  the gathering flint grey cumulonimbus clouds of a near crippled construction industry, are gaining momentum and show no signs of dispersing in the near future.

In  Scotland  low level pebble grey stratus clouds of stagnation are looming overhead, along with a murky fog of impending economic contraction with no immediate signs of an upturn on the horizon.

In  Wales  many stone grey stratocumulus clouds of over 50,000 long term unemployed young people, at a fifteen year high, occupy the day and night sky with no end in sight.

Although not part of  sinking Britannia  lets not forget our friends a short journey away, towards the west, across the water, in the beautiful  Emerald Isle .

In  Ireland  1,821,932,799,321.76 (that's one trillion, eight hundred and twenty one billion, nine hundred and thirty two million, seven hundred and ninety nine thousand, three hundred and twenty one point seventy six euros) shades of grey altocumulus debt clouds are far beyond record storm force levels and this woeful weather shows no signs of abating, on the contrary, this raging climate can only transmute into the most tempestuous of hurricanes, flavoured with a cyclone for dismal measure.

All We Hear Is Radio Santa Claus

When this blog became a dot co dot uk the dubstep music that had been installed on the site, for some reason did not work but because it's Christmas time The Blandford Buzz thought it would be a great idea to add a Christmas song or two instead!

So it was a real treat to stumble upon the Radio Santa Claus free widget, which is installed towards the top end of the side column and below this blog article, for you to play at your own leisure (TBB is not getting paid to endorse this radio station).

Who'd 'ave thought there's so many Christmas songs? Jesus Is With Me (a catchy gospel number) All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth, We Three Kings by Dolly Parton, The best Xmas song ever Do they know it's Christmas? Bing Crosby,Nat king Cole, Michael Buble in fact there's so many that the radio station is not at all repetitive!

Mind you if Radio Santa Claus went dubstep it would be even better than it already is, here's wishing... (It's hoped that The Blandford Buzz will put some dubstep back on this site in the new year!).

If you click on the link below the radio station displays the track currently being played, enjoy...x
