The Blandford Buzz Out & About In Weymouth

I took my appeal application for my claim to the Weymouth County Court office yesterday, I prefer to submit documents of this nature, in person and by hand so that I can get an immediate receipt which proves that I have complied with the court order, within the prescribed time limit. On the way back from the court office I wandered around Weymouth town centre, so here posted below are a few photos I took...

Has Debenhams lost it ?

Debenhams have a computer on their shop floor, that you can use to order/buy their products
despite the fact that if you use this said computer you are already in the store
This computer shopping portal on Debenhams shop floor in their Weymouth branch, displays on it's screen "Welcome to Debenhams Extra touch the screen to start shopping", in my opinion this is absurd because if a person is in the said department store, then why really would it be necessary to stand at a computer hub and engage in touch screen buying, when you are surrounded by a vast array of merchandise in the store ??? Now I can understand this feature being used by customers on line at home but in the actual store, come on Debenhams what's the point ?

Are Debenhams having a funny five minutes ? why use this computer in their store
when you are surrounded by lots of real merchandise
Furthermore this strange concept cannot wholly be for the benefit for anyone in a wheel chair or mobility buggy because any such person would have to be in the department store to use the touch screen and if they're already in the store then just like any able bodied person, they are encompassed by a very large quantity of merchandise and I'm sure that if they're already in the store, then they'll look around at the actual products in the shop. In my opinion this on the shop floor customer shopping portal seems a tad bit daft and idiotic.

(Scottish) Bag Pipe Player

This man let me take his photograph
This very accomplished bagpipe player, who brought music to the Weymouth high street let me take his photograph, though I didn't have the opportunity to ask him his name or where he comes from... passerby's obviously approved of his talent because I noticed he had been given quite a bit of loose change.

Big Ben

It was really nice to have a natter with Big Ben who is still quite new to Dorset
I got chatting to this guy, pictured above, his nick-name is Big Ben and originally he comes from Accra in Ghana, West Africa. Big Ben has been living in the UK for about 20 years and he moved from London to Weymouth a few months ago and he is relieved to have swapped the hustle and bustle and stress of London for the beautiful seaside town Weymouth. Big Ben also likes the greenery and the spaciousness of rural Dorset. A while ago, Big Ben visited Blandford Forum though the only real opinion he has about Blandford town centre is that there are a lot of charity shops.

Barry & Karen and Harley & Buzz

I seized the opportunity to snap some pics of these huge solid chunky dogs with their owners
I had just left Weymouth library when I caught sight of these four ! I immediately asked the couple if I could take some photographs of them with their dogs for The Blandford Buzz blog - now get this...the mans name is Barry and he informed me that he used to live in Blandford Forum, for about 20 years and he left in 1970,
and the Mastiff x Rottweilers name (whose lead Barry has a firm grip of in the above pic) is Buzz ! I just love a  good coincidence, don't you?

Barry told The Blandford Buzz that
he used to live in Blandford and that his dogs name is Buzz !
Barry let me take a photo of Buzz's name tag !
Barry and his wife Karen and their 2 dogs out and about in Weymouth
the St Bernard dog is called Harley
Barry's wife is called Karen and she has a firm grip on Harley the St Bernard dog, these two dog enthusiasts make a great picture with their treasured pets.
