Cool Hand Fluke & An Even Cooler Arctic Lorry & Truckers From Holland

These friendly truckers stopped for a few seconds
to let The Blandford Buzz  photograph their funky lorry
I was out and about in Blandford today with my camera at hand because I needed to spice up yesterdays quite lengthy blog post with some photographs, so I walked up to North Dorset District Council and down near the river Stour and the Crown Meadows etc, in fact one guy was kind enough to let me into his garden so that I could photograph part of the Crown Meadows, unfortunately later on I didn't really manage to get the river shot that I really wanted but never mind.

I had just enough time to take a snap of this funky truck from this angle

So after I'd taken enough photographs to jazz up yesterdays article, I walked back into Blandford town centre because I needed to go to that most essential of places - the bank. After I used the cash point (to take out a tenner, hey I'm on a strict budget, I wish it dispensed five pound notes !) I continued to walk through the town centre, in the direction towards the chippie and by chance I spotted an amazing, super sized extra long funked up cool arctic lorry that had lights all over it !

The cool truckers and their lorry are probably from across the waters in Holland

So I quickly grabbed my humble silver coloured digital camera and the guys in the said lorry must have noticed me whip out my camera because they beeped the lorries deeply toned horns and then actually stopped for a few seconds and put their lights on so I could take a quick snap and to my delight nobody else in the street or on the road seemed at all annoyed at me standing in the middle of the road taking pics of this awesome truck ! after I grabbed the photo opportunity by the horns (sort of pun), the men in the lorry continued to beep and then went on their way.

I just luurved this lorry and the dudes manning it who put on a bit of a light show for passers by !

I think it made their day that someone had noticed their lorry and photographed it. It was a great snippet moment in time, totally unrehearsed and completely spontaneous and it's true what they say a moment only happens once and that's why I'm learning it's always good to have a camera to the ready...x

You can just about see the lights on the side
but close up and in person it looked a lot more spectacular  !
