1) Above - This local father (who said that he likes bloggers) pictured with his 2 sons kindly allowed The Blandford Buzz to take this photo. When asked his opinion about the proposed Crown Estate development at the Crown Meadow/Bryanston Park area in Blandford, he told TBB that he was "Trying not to be bias", though he also said that he had a "Distrust of the council after Black Lane". Undecided
2) Julie said "Houses shouldn't be built on this beautiful part of Blandford, I don't want footpaths which may cause rubbish, to disturb the wildlife, there are other places where they can build". Against
3) Couple John & Liz John has lived in Blandford Forum for 4 years and they are hoping to live in Blandford together, Liz said she felt "Any development at the Crown Meadows will be detrimental, are there enough schools and surgeries to support the new houses? and what about the road access and extra cars?" John said "There will be a huge difference in the amount of traffic". Against x 2
4) Above - The 2 women pictured above are employees from Phoenix House a residential home that is soon to open, the employees visited the consultation because they wanted to know if the proposed new development at the Crown Meadow would benefit Phoenix House residents, for instance they were keen to learn if the new development would make provision for better access via footpaths as it would prove useful by making it easier for the residents. For x 2. UNFORTUNATELY The Blandford Buzz has been prevented by a representative on the behalf of the Crown Estate from quoting any of the reps at the consultation, so TBB is UNABLE to tell you the rep's answer to this inquiry on the behalf of the CE..
5) A woman who wished to remain anonymous was fervently concerned about affordable local housing, she asked "Will local people be able to buy" and added "Banks aren't lending on social housing" and "Work should come first because if there are more work opportunities in Blandford then it's ok to build more housing". This particular woman continued by demanding that The Blandford Buzz "Research all the new houses built at Blandford Heights, find out which people that live up there are originally local and how many of them work locally" (so there The Blandford Buzz has been told !) Furthermore this woman continued "There needs to be more local businesses in this town, but no business will set up in Blandford, there's no point building more housing because there aren't enough work opportunities here". Against
6) A woman who wished to remain anonymous said "The Crown Meadow is very special, Blandford must hang on to it". Against

7) A man who wished to remain anonymous said "This is rural philistinism, this shows that there is no regard of England's green and pleasant land, these meadows were a prepared killing ground for Hitlers tanks should he have invaded, when Hitlers tanks failed to come in the early 1940s the Crown Estate now comes, what irony" This blogsite in no way holds the opinion that the Crown Estate is in anyway comparable to Adolf Hitler - the Crown Estate do some good things, though this particular man has the right to voice his opinion because unlike Nazi Germany in the late 1930s - mid 1940's, Great Britain upholds freedom of speech !
The same man, with pointed finger (a real character) also put to a rep and at the same time dictated the following for The Blandford Buzz to write down "He who pays the piper tends to get played the tune he wants" (in reference to the outcomes of various studies & facts & figures etc by certain agencies that gives weight to the CE proposal to build at the Crown Meadow). UNFORTUNATELY The Blandford Buzz has been prevented by a representative on the behalf of the Crown Estate from quoting any of the reps at the consultation, so TBB is UNABLE to tell you the rep's answer to this inquiry on the behalf of the CE, though The Blandford Buzz understands that such agencies are independent of the Crown Estate
Furthermore the same gentleman asked a representative for the Crown Estate "In a world where people are paid bonus's, do the Crown Estate get bonus's if the bid is successful?" do the Crown Estate workers get bonus's?". UNFORTUNATELY The Blandford Buzz has been prevented by a representative on the behalf of the Crown Estate from quoting any of the reps at the consultation, so TBB is UNABLE to tell you the rep's answer to this inquiry on the behalf of the Crown Estate. Lastly this particular fellow said to the rep "There is deceit over the traffic" UNFORTUNATELY The Blandford Buzz has been prevented by a representative on the behalf of the Crown Estate from quoting any of the reps at the consultation, so TBB is UNABLE to tell you the rep's answer to this inquiry on the behalf of the CE. 8) Peter asked "Why cant all the houses be affordable?" For
9) Richard who is involved with riding for the disabled and mentally handicapped from Sturminster Newton, Blandford and Poole was very concerned about "The impact any new housing development at the Crown Meadow would have on them" he was also "very concerned about the cars and car parking". Against
10) Lisa said "More houses may help keep the local facilities at the hospital, the Crown Estate could be beneficial, though 200 houses is too many, there should be no more than 100 houses and it's nice that people can walk along by the river, the Crown estate may help this". For
