Between approximately 14.50 - 15.05 today, Tuesday 31st January 2012, opposite the launderette or close by, a dangerous male driver who is white with brown hair who looked to be aged between 20-30, was in a car that had L Plates on it, the car is thought to be a red Renault Clio Grande or a car that looks similar. This driver started the car and the car suddenly lurched forward and then unexpectedly went in to reverse at considerable speed, without checking to see if it was safe to do so, thus leaving a teenage pedestrian, who had to quickly avert the very fast reversing car, very shaken - the driver sped off. A middle aged woman also witnessed the incident. This driver is a menace so any information that can lead Blandford Police to identify him will be very gratefully received and rewarded by The Blandford Buzz.
The Blandford Buzz attended a PACT (partners and communities together) meeting last night - at the said meeting also attended by members of The Blandford Town Council and members from other local councils, The Blandford Police emphasized the length they will go to to serve the public of Blandford, so it will be very interesting to see just how affective/effective they are in catching this particular dangerous driver - because even though there wasn't enough time to take the number plate, they now have a time to go on and apparently according to the receptionist at Blandford police station
there are 3 cameras in the town centre triangle, one at the bottom of Salsibury street, one at West street and another near the Sapling The Blandford Buzz knows this may be a bit of a challenge for
The Blandford Police but
TBB is sure they can handle it...lets wait and see -
TBB will report the outcome...
Subsequently
Blandford Police say this is a matter for
Dorset Police
as opposed to
PACT because it's an isolated incident -
it wont be an isolated incident if the same driver endangers an/other member/s of the public...will
Blandford Police catch
this driver...
