I've got a gluttony gene - that's why I eat 10 biscuits one after the other...

Blandford Buzz says
"Don't buy the damn biscuits in the first place you silly greedy moo"

New scientific research has concluded that some people who are overweight may have a faulty gene - when this gene is working properly in a healthy person, it sends a signal to their brain so they know when they're full but when the gene is in a state of malfunction a person is unable to properly determine when to stop snacking out on a packet of dark chocolate digestive bicys (etc) ummm must stop munching, must stop crunching, must stop dunking....

Research using mice showed that the neurons in the brains of those who had a mutated Bdnf gene, failed to send chemical signals to the hypothalamus part of the brain after consuming food, which resulted in the mice eating twice as much food as their counterparts whose Bdnf genes were working normally. In humans the Bdnf gene develops whilst in the womb.

A dodgy Bdnf gene thus transmuting into a "gluttony" gene - in my own personal case is quite feasible because firstly even when I was a kid, I was always had a gluttonous appetite and secondly, when ever I overeat, mostly every day, afterwards when I feel a little bloated, I often realise that I've literally eaten roughly twice as much as I really needed !!!

The good news for pharmaceutical companies in the discovery of a "gluttony" gene, is that they can develop anti obesity drugs to combat the faulty Bdnf gene, possibly in collusion with the processed junk food industry who may be chemically manipulating foods so the human brain doesn't know when to stop munching, crunching and dunking...
