My Passport Office Interview @ Yeovil & So Ad Infinitum

Last month On Thursday 31st January, I attended an interview @ the passport office in Yeovil, I must say that although the interview can't quite be described as an interrogation it nevertheless was  quite intense and I was left with the impression that the passport office's ethos is the reverse of the English legal system - innocent until proven guilty...

@ one moment during the interview, the interviewer, who was quite a pleasant amiable man (obviously suspecting that I was guilty until proven innocent and thus of the persuasion that I was a mere impostor pretending to be me) tried to catch me out by telling me that he was in the crowd on the day that the Olympic Torch passed through Blandford town centre...

...hence he asked me where I had been standing, to which I said opposite the church near the Hospice charity Shop on East Street ...

...In response to my said destination on the day of the Olympic Torch, flame, bearers and much ado,  the passport officer said he had actually been standing on the opposite side of the street to me, near the band playing by the church, though I did not believe him as he could have easily watched YouTube videos of the event. He then stated that immediately after the Olympic Torch procession in Blandford on Thursday 12th July 2012 that the heavens opened and it started to rain (he didn't actually say the heavens opened I've added that for spice).

However to the best of my recollection the weather only became more dull and overcast than it was when the torch bearers exchanged the Olympic Torches and flame. @ the best and worst of times I am certainly not a yes person and I said politely with an air of innocence about my tone of voice that to the best of my recollection it did not rain @ the time he said it did, I knew that he was trying to catch me out...

@ the end of the interview the passport officer told me that the passport should arrive within a week to ten days -  5 days or 2 working days later, towards the beginning of this month - Tuesday 5th February - my passport arrived sooner than expected!

Wa-ho, yah, I'm a citizen of the world or @ least the UK, I can go anywhere now, the world is my oyster...

Yeovil Passport Office Interview Address

When I had to book my passport interview, I spoke to a woman @ the UK passport office called Ann she kindly told me that the Yeovil passport Office Interview venue address, is different to the address given on the official passport office website - Ann went on to tell me that a young man who was @ the interview stage in his passport application, traveled to Yeovil by bus and turned up at the venue in Yeovil, which is given on the official website, only to find out that the interview was elsewhere, unfortunately the poor bloke didn't receive an interview that day and had to wait around in Yeovil (nothing wrong with the place) for a bus home - hopefully his second trip to the passport office in Yeovil went smoothly...

The address that Ann gave me for the passport interview and where indeed it took place is -
