I was strolling past the various stalls @ the Dorset Farmers market in Blandford,, as I proceeded to walk past a stall selling yummy pies and pasties, a lady with a beaming smiling friendly pretty face quickly stepped out from behind the stall she had been attending and smiled even more broadly, in a split second I suddenly recognised her! It seems that God has finally answered my prayers or at least my wondering about her for many a year or two or three, er no, make that 24 years...
The strange thing is that I attended my passport interview in Yeovil last Thursday and whilst filling in the time, I came across a rather groovy shop that sold mopeds, instantly my mind transported me back to the good old days of 1988 or was it 1989 and my good friend riding over to visit me on her moped or scooter, sorry I'm not too sure of the difference!
It turns out that my darling friend has been looking for me for years and more recently since the advent of the internet on Facebook and such the like and I too had made many an unsuccessful quest for her...
It turns out that my lovely friend (who used to be a real wild child) is a pastor, when she told me this I was struck with disbelief, pastor? I said in a bemused tone, pastor? my friend retorted back with the same charming comedic wit that she was obviously born with and has never left her, I'm a pastor, I said I'm a pastor, not pasta or a pasta eating pastor...
It turns out that she is happily married and has three teenage children and she still even lives in Dorset! Anyway I've invited myself over to one of her ministries, which she has assured me will be very lively!!! knowing her it will be more than lively - it'll probably be getting drunk on the Holy Spirit!
Well here's to my long lost beloved and now new found again dear friend MICHELLE O' who's now MICHELLE D' er and the big G, no not the internet giant that rhymes with doodle, the other all knowing omniscient omnipotent BIG G...x
