You've probably heard by now, that Scotland Yard are to investigate Madeleine McCanns disappearance which occurred on May 3rd 2007 in Praia De Luz, Portugal...

Madeleine "vanished" just before her fourth birthday, after her mum and dad, Kate & Gerry McCann, who are both doctors, left her and her 2 younger twin siblings unattended, in a holiday apartment, whilst they dined relatively close by at a tapas bar with a group of doctor friends, now infamously known as the Tapas seven. Kate and Gerry insisted that their daughter had been abducted, however the Portuguese Police felt suspicious of their explanation due to the fact that the parents were so insistent that it was an abduction as opposed to little Madeleine simply wandering off. Furthermore Gerry and Kates behavior after Madeleines disappearance seemed odd, for example Gerry playing tennis and Kate never shedding any tears over the disappearance of her daughter.
Sniffer dogs were brought in from the UK to Portugal and they scented out traces of human blood in the apartment and DNA in the boot of the McCanns hire car that they rented after Madeleine disappeared. On September 7th 2007 were declared Arguidos - formal suspects in the matter of Madeleines disappearance. However Gerry and Kate have never been charged with their daughters disappearance and they are no longer officially suspects - at the moment...
With the help of Scotland Yard, the Portuguese Police are reviewing the case and as is well known, Scotland Yard is one of the best investigating forces in the world, so if any agency can solve the mystery of Madeleine McCann then it's these guys...
