Hello dear reader, I have really enjoyed writing blog posts for The Blandford Buzz since December last year and I was so full of optimistic hope for this site ...
but such positivity on my behalf has sadly been dashed due to the low readership of The Blandford Buzz, a blog all about Blandford Forum, a small Georgian town in Dorset, England. Now I admit that when I first started writing blog posts for this site, I told myself that it didn't really matter if no-one bothered to read The Blandford Buzz and for a while I meant this...until obviously it did matter to me that people read this blog. Oh well there's nothing much that I can do, to compel people to read The Blandford Buzz. |

Now a few people have recommended that I set up a Facebook fan page for The Blandford Buzz but I always felt loathe to do this because The Blandford Buzz was mostly a local to Blandford Forum website so it would have been a little silly to have had a worldwide following for a small local blog - I was hoping The Blandford Buzz would acquire a lot more local followers than it has. I also felt a bit put off by the rather superficial I'll follow you if you'll follow me kind of Facebook thing because this nature of following seems meaningless and pointless to me as well as a bit immature.
OK then, so in the next few days the domain name and header name of this site will be slightly altered to Blandford Buzz, yes that's right I'm simply knocking off the "The" from the website title and the domain name and also the two dashes. Now this may seem rather odd I know but I've decided to do this because I've put a lot of time and work into this website and to tell the truth I kind of love this humble, not very well read (and written?) blog and website. So I want to keep the blogs I've already written, somewhat "alive" and if I completely stop writing on this site, the blog posts after a certain amount of time will become "listless" - who likes stumbling upon a blog which hasn't been updated for a week or month or even a year or two? So by changing the website title and re-directing the domain, all of my writings for this blog should remain intact under the new name for this site...
So in the next few days the domain of this site will change from www.the-blandford-buzz.com to www.blandfordbuzz.com, though if you put The Blandford Buzz or Blandford Buzz in Google search engine, it should redirect you to the new domain name www.blandfordbuzz.com
From the bottom of my heart I would very much like to thank everyone who became a TBB follower, it really meant the world to me (I'm not sure when I slightly change the website name and the web address, if the Blogger format will let Blandford Buzz keep the TBB followers, though if it doesn't, of course if you want to follow this site when it soon becomes www.blandfordbuzz.com, then I will gratefully appreciate your continued support ! )...
