Spider Animation - View At Your Own Risk

Blandford Buzz says "Spiders aren't the best liked creatures, though most of the ones in the UK aren't harmful, they just crawl around, living their lives and remember they're a lot more frightened of you ginormous human beings, so next time you see one, try not to freak out and let it go on it's way".

When I changed this blog which used to called The Blandford Buzz and incorporated a bee into the theme because Blandford Buzz sounds like it could be the name of a bumble bee, I spent an age and a half perusing the internet, trying to find a suitable live/moving bumble bee animation and actually I was quite surprised that I didn't find many animations of moving bumble bees. However I was about to give up hope and then as usually happens under circumstances of thwarted wish-fullness, I came across a website and found what I was looking for - seek and you shall find...

The site is called sevenoaksart.co.uk. So courtesy of Seven Oaks Art my idea for Blandford Buzz to become an animation on this site has been put into effect, as I'm sure you have noticed that Blandford Buzz has got himself into a real spin, just like an over excited doggy woggy chasing its tail until it can no longer take the dizziness and has to abruptly stop and stand still looking utterly confused
why cant I just get that tail?

When it comes to Blandford Buzzthere's no stopping him from flying round in circles, over there at the top right hand corner of this web site, he's very dizzy but he's got the whole shebang sussed out !

Back to Seven Oaks Art - on the said website, I clicked onto Animations A-Z and then Animations A-C and although 'bees" weren't listed, I spotted that Bugs appeared on the contents list, so I clicked on the link and virtually jumped out of my swivel chair in absolute fright and terror - an animated moving spider is featured on the page I clicked and it looks so real. I had to shield my eyes with my hand so I wouldn't have to look at it, as I scrolled down to click the animated insect link and when I did, I was very relieved that there were only flies, butterflies, a lady bird and a bumble bee on the page.

I AM SOOOOO FREAKED OUT BY SPIDERS, that if one suddenly creeps out from nowhere and crawls across the floor, I become a crazy woman and take cover on top of my table, yes I have been known to stand on top of my kitchen table to evade collision with one of those eight legged things and at other times if there's nothing to stand on I run away screaming like a mad person and if there's ever one in my bedroom at night I sleep elsewhere.

Mind you I don't think this kind of behavior is concerning or that I need psychiatric help just yet regarding this phobia as I read somewhere that our brains are hardwired to not be keen about spiders due to the ones that are deadly - deadly or not they all give me the heebie jeebies...

I think the reason why this particular spider animation on the Seven Oaks Art website, is so scary, is because it's probably been "mapped out" using the dimensions of a real life spider as the animated version looks and moves in such a real living spider life like way. So here for your probable viewing displeasure is the link to the said king of all creepy crawlies - though I'm warning you that it's not for the faint hearted and get ready to bolt out of your seat... Link > Seven Oaks Art Creepy Crawly Spider <Link
