Recently a Blandford Buzz reader and their family, who had run out of both money and food received help from Spectrum a couple of weeks ago, here below is photograph that the recently struggling family sent to the Blandford Buzz, of the food that the they were given via Spectrum. The family who wish to remain anonymous would like to thank the very kind general public who made the food donations to the food bank, the food bank itself and Spectrum Housing Association in the first place.
On a political note the family believe that the state has failed them by completely cutting benefit entitlement for their youngest daughter since she left school at the end of June this year - and although she is looking for work, the young lady is yet to find any.

Blandford Buzz says
"If teenagers who have left school were entitled to benefits,
especially at a time when there aren't many jobs,
then this family wouldn't have been in need in the first place.
Why would a democratic government
not put in place a saftey net
for out of work 16 & 17 year olds?"
