A few weeks ago, on Saturday the 8th of December, I went to the Shillingstone Railway Restoration project, I decided not to phone up prior to ariving because firstly it's a rather egotistical thing to do - to announce ones self as though you're a foreign dignatry and secondly it's so much more fun and spontaneous when you catch people on the spur of the moment.
I was warmly received by Andy, the fellow wearing the orange workers jacket, in the photo below, nothing was too much trouble for him and he spent at least an hour showing me around the project and detailing every aspect of...every aspect. I must confess, that I was soooo excited by my transportation back in time, that mostly everything that Shillingstone railway enthusiast and volunteer Andy was telling me became one long blah blah blah, no offence Andy! (so I'l let the photos speak for themselves).

There's so much to see @ the Shillingstone Railway Restoration Project, these photographs don't do the project justice by half. The Shillingstone Railway Project is well worth a visit, you'l almost certainly fall in love with it, plus Andy and the rest of the volunteers are friendly folk...x
